TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) and Turkish Space Agency (TUA) signed a Cooperation Protocol on March 26, 2021.
The signature ceremony was attended by TUA President Mr. Serdar Hüseyin YILDIRIM, TÜBİTAK MAM President Dr. Osman OKUR, TUA Vice President Mr. Salih Metin KİBAR, TÜBİTAK MAM Vice President Assoc. Prof. Burcu ÖZSOY, TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute Director Prof. Metin USTA, Deputy Director Assoc. Prof. Salih DABAK and TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute Senior Research Specialist Dr. Atilla YILMAZ.
It is aimed to establish cooperation between TÜBİTAK MAM and Turkish Space Agency, based on their competencies, with a view to achieve coordination in space studies and to ensure product/technology development and production for contributing to national development.
The Cooperation Protocol sets the general principles for collaborating in space studies, space-qualified solar panels, high-temperature metallic materials and polar studies, and for conducting studies and developing products making use of the infrastructure and specialization of both TÜBİTAK MAM and Turkish Space Agency.
TÜBİTAK MAM takes pride in contributing to the inspiring studies of TUA that were declared by TUA President Mr. Serdar Hüseyin YILDIRIM.
